    Hello,

I have a big project in Premiere Pro CS5 (multiple sequences. Some nested) that crashes when opening. After days of editing it decided to never open again. I went to the auto safe and could manage to open an earlier version. From this earlier version I created a new project for each sequence that I have. Now when I open one of the individual projects it doesn’t crash when opening; it crashes when moving a clip in the sequence or when opening one of the folders of the project. It is a time sensitive project and I don’t know what to do. I’m editing ACHDV footage on an ACHDV sequence. I have graphics that I’m importing from AE. I have almost 8 video channels in use but not at the same time.

    I need help please!!!

    * I’m a new adobe premiere user migrating from FCP7.

Try Menu > Project > Remove Unused. Besides removing unused clips (a hassle if you’re still in rough cut) it also straightens some things out within the save file when it comes to cross references between file and timeline, and so on. If one of these references went bad, it could be what is upsetting your project.
