How does this happen – I prepare a PPro CS5 sequence at 1440 X 1080 then File>Export Media. I set the output to be 1920 X 880 pixels (custom), 29.97 fps, and h.264. On render, I open in AE CS5 and the footage is identified as 1920 X 880 px and the icon shows no black bars. I drag the footage to a new comp and the comp opens at 1920 X 1080 with black bars on top and bottom!!. If I make a custom comp size of 1920 X 880 and drag the footage to it, it fills it nicely but still shows top and bottom black bars. So, I’m certain I’m doing something wrong trying to get a pure 2.35:1 PAR, but I can’t figure it. Help?

Are you exporting the clip out as square pixels or do you have the PAR set as HD anamorphic?

Thanks, that was the clue I needed – finally got it working.
