  Moving a matt/shape with video

  Hi All,

  I think this is quite a simple task but I cannot work out how to do it (mainly because I am not familiar with the terms).

  I have a ship with a logo on the side, moving in the water. I want to matt out this logo and replace it with another logo. The logo has to move with the ship (which is stationary but bobs up and down).

  What is the best process to use? I have seen this kind of thing with AFX but not Premiere.

  Hi Steven,

  I believe the only option in Premiere would be to use the Adobe Motion effect, and manually add keyframes. However, this would be extremely tedious as you’d probably need to move the keyframe EVERY FRAME, and the results would still not come out very well.

  Really a job for After Effects using a good motion tracker such as Mocha, which will automate the process and produce very good results (this is what Hollywood uses).
