I’m using Prelude CS6 to ingest footage shot with a Panasonic HD camera onto P2 cards. I’m then transcoding that footage using Prelude into Apple ProRes 422 so that it’s friendly with our older FCP workstations. The problem I’m facing is that the audio, which is originally recorded as 4 separate audio channels in the camera, is being mixed down into a stereo track – with channel 1 and 2 combined on each stereo track so I’m actually losing the fact that I have separate channels at all. What do I need to do to keep the audio tracks from mixing together, and is there a way to keep all 4 tracks of audio instead of just 2? Thanks!
