  • Strange frame rate problem when exporting to Quick Time

Posted by Itamar Kool on July 23, 2012 at 10:06 am

I am working on a 25fps AVCHD timeline 1920×1080 of about 20 minutes. I tried exporting a 25fps 640×360 H264 quicktime. What I am getting is a file with 24,62 frames per second! When I try again, checking the settings more thoroughly, I get the same!

    Hi Itamar,

Are you seeing issues related to that? Is Quicktime reporting the frame rate? What if you bring it back into Premiere and check properties, what’s the frame rate?

Quick Time shopwed in the info window that the frame rate was 24,62 fps. It played in 25 fps though. But the composer for my film could not import the quick time into his soft ware. In the end I exported another quick time in 25 fps from the 24,62 one. That one was OK and everything stayed lipsync. It’s a problem I do not understand

Hi Vince, To answer your question about bringing it back to PPro. In PPro it does say 25 fps. I just exported a new QT and the info window in QT said it was 24,30 fps. Might this be a QT prpblem?
