  • Premiere Pro CS4 Hangs Up When Opening A Sequence

    Hi there,

I’m having a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 and was wondering if anyone could try and help me out.

Whenever I try and open a sequence, Premiere stops responding and I’m forced to close it. I even tried and let it load all night, but it still had to be closed.
The program opens fine. I can create a project and sequences, but as soon I double click on to view it in my timeline, it hangs up. If I try and open a project that had open sequences, it also crashes after loading the project.
I think it’s a problem with my timeline. I just tried the following: I created a new blank project and a blank sequence. I closed the timeline panel and double clicked the sequence. Premiere had time to re-open the timeline panel before hanging up.

This is a new problem, I’ve been able to use Premiere since it came out without any problem like this.

I tried re-installing Premiere yesterday, and after I restated my computer it worked normally until I closed Premiere and tried to open it again. The same problem occurred.

If any more information is needed, I can supply it.

    Thanks in advance,
    Spencer MacPherson
