I am working in Premiere Pro CS6 and I am wondering if there is a way that I can turn off the feature that pops up the info box when I hover my cursor of items in the bin. I can see how it is useful, but it is also very very annoying because while I’m typing it covers up some titles or labels I might be copying.

Am I the only or does this bother other people…if this is my only complaint with Premiere Pro CS6 then I say kudos to Adobe. Loving it so far.

There is no preference setting for that. I agree that we need one (or some way to keep those tooltips out of your way). Please submit a feature request to add your vote: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

You are not alone… That crazy yellow box is very annoying (in the project window)! It’s always reminding me the name of my bin or clip… which I can already clearly see! I’ve filed a “feature request”. Hopefully more will do the same. Something as simple as a check box for “tool tips” in the “General” preferences would be great.

I was just annoyed to death by that today in fact.
It’s to big and to annoying, I wish I could turn it off.

Yep, just started my first big project in PP CS6 and that was one of my first annoyances. Count me amongst the folks who want to turn it off!

Thanks for the ease of the link. Just did as you suggested. Hopefully others will too and we’ll see a fix soon.

    Cheers

Has there been a fix for this on CS6. I know this post started in 2012. I’m new to Premiere Pro and that is just crazy annoying!!

Not sure about CS6 but in the latest update of CC I am not noticing the issue, in fact, I don’t think I’ve seen it in any of CC versions. And CC is really cool.
