Mercury Engine Nvidia 600series mobile Graphic Card (Kepler)
I want to know more about mercury engine.
I have mac and pc, and i always do benchmark.
Premiere Pro using mercury engine playback it really help alot when preview file, but now i have a question.
I test my macbook pro and pc, same spec (of cause macbook pro is entry level, i5,4gb,no graphic card of cause, and asus i5 4gb with nvidia gt540m)
the preview of asus is actualy donit to render unless add some effect, and it just keep yellow, playback is always smooth.
and macbook pro is keep red and need to render.
ok, now i make them both to become green as i render it.
but the problem is, I export both the time and speed is same , which I assume mercury engine is just help to preview file only, but not in render, even i ran another test the asus just make it yellow, the speed is still quite same (+- 3second) only.
So is it Even buy the best graphic card is still no use for export ? -

The GPU is also used in Export.
It might be that the time is so short? Or maybe the Mac GPU is working, but it is RAM limited?
