    Hi

Well lets see I’ve probably started the same as everyone or most of everyone else here… started with Pinacale, graduated to Vegas pro, went onto FCP which honestly I didn;t use very long. Now 8 years later I’ve finally come home to were the real pro’s are with Adobe Premiere! I’m so excited to finally be able to use this amazing edited software! But again I am 100% newbie, so I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction as what i need to know first when starting out? links to forums on here, any first timer setup options I need to be aware of, how the timeline works etc etc.

    That’d be great Thanks!

I was just at the PeachPit site. I noticed that there is a new (2nd edition) version of the “Editors Guide” coming out later this summer.

If you are workimg through the Prmiere Pro Classroom book, you may want to push off ordering the Editors book as long as you can. Or pre-order the new version.

I am making a large commitment to learning CS6 systematically. I have been using PS, etc. since 1998, but just learned ad hoc. I recently purchased 8 books to learn CS6 Production Premium tools.

    The CS6 Classroom books:

    Premiere
    After Effects
    Photoshop
    Illustrator
    Audition

    + Lightroom 4.0

    Plus 2 advanced books:

Hidden Power of Blend Modes in PS
After Effects CS6 Visual Effects & Compositing

Most just released, or to be released later this summer.

If you buy 1 book at PeachPit, you will get a 35% off coupon.

They also had a Memorial Day sale with 50% off if you bought 2 or more ebooks. Maybe at 4th of July?

    Good luck! Great tools!

    Michael
