AE render engine issue: no render control file found
i have one G5 with dual processor AE 6.5 Professional and AE Render engine. I am tring to use bothe simutaniously so i can render using the Render engine and work in AE. I do ‘add to render queue’ and use the ‘multimachine sequence’ presents. Then i close the render queue window. I collect my files using use the ‘watch folder option’ and put it in the ‘watch folder’ on the desktop. then i open my AE render engine app and tell it to look at the watch folder which contains the collected folder.
Unfortunatly it gives some ‘…Render control file not found’ error when i look in to the collected folder i see a RCF.txt file. some how my AE render engine is not able to find it in the folder
any help would be great.

There’s no need to use the render engine for that. You just create a second instance of AE by duplicating the application. Just the icon, not the whole folder. Rename it “AE copy” or whetever.
Set up the render with one instance of the app, and start it going. Then open up the other app and go to work on whatever.

yes but if i intend to set up render farm? not sure what could cause that error. i get the same error if i try to render through another machine.
