  Shatter Effect on layer that is not a Still

  All that I am using the Shatter Effect for is to add a little 3D extrusion to my animated text pre-comp.

  Thing is, I can’t get it to work.

  Does the shatter effect not work on a layer that is not a still?

  The layer can be a movie, but the shatter map has to be a still. In other words, your extrusions can not animate.
