  • Timeline mouse scrolling in Windows CS6 CAN be set to vertical by default

In the Windows version of PPro CS6, unlike the Mac version, mouse scrolling for the timeline is still horizontal by default, and you have to hold down the CTRL key to get it to change to vertical.

I was told there was no way to get it to scroll vertically by default, but while looking through the PREFERENCES menu I discovered that you can- it’s in the “General” area.

I was really glad to see this, because I’d much rather have the mouse scroll vertically, and being able to do it without holding down a key every time will be nice. 🙂

You can also hold down the Ctrl key when scrolling to scroll vertically.

You can also use a magic mouse or other horizontal/vertical scrolling mouse on windows as well as mac. Horizontal/Vertical scrolling via multi axis input works on mac/win. Pinching however is mac only…

    Cheers

Cool, that’s good to know- I didn’t know a Magic Mouse will work on Windows. I may have to look into that.

You guys did an amazing job on CS6, by the way…

That was my bad. I forgot about the preferences. I checked the KB Shortcuts and made the call as not there. Happy mistake!
