  CS6 and DSLR

  I haven’t downloaded CS6 just yet, but was curious, does CS6 have a tool to generate timecode off of Canon DSLR footage? I’m specifically talking about the Media Start and End meta data when brought into Premiere Pro.

  Create timecode for it? Like QTChange? No…you have to use QT change. Although, someone found a HUGE BUG with PPro and QT change, that was recreated in CS6…and will be addressed soon. Not in this current version.

  But it is only an issue if you want to take the footage outside of PPro for any reason.

  Actually the bug with QTChance interaction was in QTChange, and they fixed it.

  The other bug was just in roundtripping AAF files, and that is something that we’re working on and hoping to get into an update soon.

  One more issue. I see that my timecode is now being read in the media browser, but how can I sync my clips based on timecode? I’ve selected the clips, right click to synchronize clips, but the timecode button is greyed out. Am I missing something or going about this the wrong way? I am trying to set up a multicam edit between two cameras.

  This would be a great feature to add to Prelude, add timecode on ingest from the THM files.
