    Hi guys –

    running OS10.7.3 on a MBP i7

I’ve just picked up an Apogee MiC for recording VO directly into audio tracks in Premiere Pro CS5.5 – and although Audition records just fine with it, PP cannot.

After working with Jay at Apogee tech support, I created an aggregate device in Audio MIDI, with no luck. Selecting the aggregate device in Audio Hardware Preferences (meaning “System Default input/output”) doesn’t stick – it bumps back to “Built-in Output” in Preferences – Hardware, and leads to a “current selection has no input channel”… We also went through every virtual combination in Audio MIDI and Audio Hardware with no success.

In my MBP system preferences – sound – input, when I select the MiC aggregate device I’ve created, I get “the selected device has no input controls”

Yet… the MiC records beautifully in Adobe Audition (as well as iMovie)

Best guess is it may be the Premiere Pro/After Effects aggregate devices (that live in the audio midi), but even when I delete it (in Audio MIDI), it reappears in audio MIDI on PP startup.

I wonder what plist files would need to be trashed to remove these Adobe aggregate devices; moreover, I wonder why they are there and well, I would hate to trash something that I’ll regret down the line.

Anyone have any ideas on this?
