    Hello:

I’m having an issue with the movies I export from Premiere Pro. I’m using Premiere Pro CS5.5 on a mid-2009 2.8Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo MBP unibody running Lion with 8GB of RAM.

The movies export okay and play fine in QuickTime as long. However, when I import them into Pro Tools the frames show up in the ProTools timeline and the audio converts, but the video plays back as just black.

    Here is a screenshot…

If I try to export the movie in QuickTime, it just makes a movie where the screen is all white.

If I drag the movie into QuickTime and try to extract the video track, paste into a new QT file and Save-As I get the following error message…

The movie could not be saved. The movie contains an incorrect time value.”

Any idea what’s wrong? It doesn’t matter what codec I use to export from Premiere… this happens with every kind of movie.

    Thanks!

Sounds like a codec support issue. If there’s audio and no video when played in a given app (but the file plays fine in Quicktime) then the chosen app probably doesn’t have access to or support the codec of the Quicktime video.

    What codec are you using?
