  No title safe or timecode overlays

  I know it was working before.

  when I enable the timecode or title safe areas,
  nothing shows over the program window.

  I trashed preferences (holding shift while loading premiere)

  running cs 5.5.2 (latest) on a mac

  so clicking on the video area of the program window
  brings back the overlay.

  sometimes it vanishes, click it again, its back. (the button to enable it is on the whole time.)
