    Greetings ~

I am a new Premiere Pro 5.5 user and not well skilled at the complex functionality of editing systems. So, please bear with me if my inexperience is showing.

I have been editing projects in Premiere Pro 5.5 on an iMac. I recently upgraded to:

    MacPro3,1
    Quad-Core Intel Xeon

Please bear with me if this seems like a silly question: did you use Migration Assistant to move your applications as well?

If you did, I don’t believe that’s advised for Adobe CS applications and I’d manually re-install them. You need some system-wide support for codecs/formats which wouldn’t necessarily get transferred over with Migration Assistant.
