Is anyone else having issues with PPro and Plural Eyes?
For music videos: subject + cd playing in background. The audio levels are legit, but when I go to sync the actual cd track to the cd playing in the footage, Plural Eyes doesn’t like it (most of the time). I’ve played around with setting markers, still to no avail.
I’d say fifty fifty chance of success with Plural eyes for Premiere,
But more like 90% of the time Plural Eyes for FCP worked without a hitch.
I am only using what was recorded with the internal mic on a T2i to sync. Should I employ a better sound device? Should I change codecs, does premiere prefer a certain codec – mp3 as to AIFF? -

I use PPro & Plural Eyes with an EOS5dM2 & Zoom recorder frequently, and have never had any issues. I usually have the EOS5 set for “Auto Gain,” which insures decent volume levels. What are your levels on the 2Ti? Are they high enough for you to hear? When Plural Eyes doesn’t sync, what exactly happens?I don’t know if it matters, but I use WAV files from the Zoom recorder.

Shouldn’t matter. The Premiere Pro version of Plural Eyes also does FCP XML files, but I can tell you that after developing my own tools for Premiere Pro project files that, at it’s most basic sense, it holds the same information just in a more complicated way.
I have a feeling you’re moreso running into issues because of areas where the song sounds similar (chorus or breaks) so you may have to sync in smaller chunks (in verse/chorus pairs) or just do it manually.
Alternately, are you using it on the slow/accurate setting? That might help a little.
(Written with the fact that I have Plural Eyes, just not open in front of me because I switched to a new workstation).
