  Choppy movements (tilt, pan)

  Hey guys, first time I post here. I really need some help.

  Me and my friend were doing an institucional video and he was editing it on Final Cut. But suddenly one day his files got deleted from his external HD, which contained all shots from his camera. Then I said i was going to edit here at my Premiere. The only way to recover his files was to export what he had on Final Cut already edited even with media offline. Then I imported the file on Premiere and it works fine, but the clips where there is camera movements like Pan and Tilts are very choppy.

  I wonder if there is any way to fix this situation on Premiere Pro. We tryed different types of Final Cut export and still same issue. When you playback at Quicktime or Media Player you still see the choppy movement. I have the proress codec on windows and still nothing.

  Hope someone know how to fix this.

  Hi Bernardo,

  Somewhere in your workflow, the files were exported at the wrong frame rate. I would go back to the original files and start exporting again. There just isn’t much you can do to correct it after the fact.

  What is the original frame rate of your footage?

  Hello Vince,

  It was shot with Canon 60d at 24 fps. I am almost sure it was exported at 24 fps. Unless my friend made a terrible mistake. I think probably that happened because the media was offline when the export was made.
