Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro No Space

I have a custom built machine and we are running Adobe Premiere on it for editing. I have it so that it saves everything to the D drive etc (this is the one with all the room on it,) but it appears that something is STILL draining my C-Drive. Example, when I go into Encoder it flat out shows me that it is reading the file from the C drive etc… How do I eliminate this problem?

IT has even gotten to the point now that when I try to encode a file, it drops sound etc, because there isn’t enough room on C to do anything. Please help.

Edit > Preferences > Disk Cache… make sure they’re on your D drive, or better yet an internal drive that has space but isn’t the same as your footage.

Ok, I went to Edit>Preferences… didn’t see the Disk Cache immediately, but did find something under Edit>Preferences>Media… Under here there are two options, Media Cache Files as well as Media Cache Database… should I change these to my D drive (the one with all the space) to free it up?

Yeah, that’s it. I also created a shortcut icon on my desktop to get to my Media Cache folder so I can clean out the old stuff regularly.
