crashing when opening existing file on a new system
This behaviour shows up every once in a while and I have no idea how to fix it. I’ve created a project on a laptop. Imported footage shot on a 5D and audio recorded on a Zoom H4N. Everything worked great. I copied the entire job over to my desktop where I always work on jobs with the identical setup. 5D footage and Zoom H4N audio. After I move the project over (by copying the entire folder structure), Premiere pro asks where the video clips are (makes sense since I’m on a new system now). I find the first of the missing video files and PPro links the video clips. Then it asks for the .wav files. I select the first one and PPro immediately crashing giving me the “a serious error..” message. Every time.
If I only link the video and choose to unlink the audio then PPro opens up just fine.
Once inside the project, if I import a new copy of the audio file, no problems. However, if I try to relink the same audio file, PPro crashes on cue.Has anyone ever run into this?
