    Hey guys,

I’m trying to perform the simple task of muxing separate audio and video files and outputting out of Premiere without re compression.

Is this possible in Premiere? In Final Cut, when you drop the source files in your sequence, it prompts to conform your sequence to the source files. You can then export to “Current Settings” without re compression. (Perhaps I’m missing some hidden setting? But I believe everything is identical, [PAR, Dimensions, Codec, Container, etc.])

It seems it always wants to re compress my clips, even if my timeline is identical (Prores source to identical output.)

I suppose I could use QT Pro for this, but this seems like a pretty simple task, and I’m sure it must be possible in Premiere.

    Thanks,
    Adam

    Thanks for your response.

Out of curiosity, I wonder how Windows users combine audio and video tracks efficiently, and without recompression? (So far, I’ve only found QT Pro + Final Cut to be the fastest way of doing this.)
