  • Need to export multiple audio tracks simultaneously.

    Hi all.

Is there a solution in Premiere CS5 for a multiple simultaneous audio track export?
We would like to do our final mix in Cubase and cannot get OMF exports to work.

Another option is to export the project as self contained but it seems to bloat a 180 meg project to over 100 gigs with the project export option.

The audio editor also has CS5 and can work on the mix from there if need be.
(If we can figure out how to self contain the projects).

Any advice would be highly appreciated, this is seriously slowing down our workflow!

    Hi there,

I have had only success getting OMF out of PrPro 5.5.x into ProTools (v9), but I have read here that using Audition to get OMF exported for 3rd party mixing/re-recording workflows is an alternative that has been better for some.

A few questions: what settings are you using for your OMF export?

Are you exporting OMF from PrPro directly (or perhaps you’re already doing it with Audition)?

I don’t know if any of this helps but hopefully it’s a start.

    All the best,
    PK

    Thanks for the reply.

I have tested all possible configurations for the OMF export.

Would you mind expanding a bit on the Sound Booth route?
I am keen to give it a try.

I am really hoping that there is some simple solution to this, I can’t imagine being the only one who needs multiple tracks for final mix.

Just for clarity, the person you have been interacting with mentioned Audition as a possible way to get out multi audio tracks, not Soundbooth

Erp… My bad, audition? That makes it even more intriguing.

This issue really has me stumped.

Yes, in CS5 Soundbooth was replaced by Audition.

Dear Mr. Tom, please let me add a correction; Soundbooth was replaced in CS5.5, in CS5 we still had Soundbooth.

My mistake. Ive been using 5.5 and therefore based my response on my current version.
