  Classic Video Camera GUI Design

  In many films, when someone in the film is filming, they show what is being filmed on that camera.
  When they do that, there tends to be a GUI for the screen that is used a lot (a red box with a red circle saying ‘RECORDING’).
  I can’t remember it exactly though.

  Does anyone have a link to the picture of it, or know of a film that does that, so that I can use it in my video?

  Hi David,

  I don’t think there ever was a template for this, I’ve seen so many different versions.

  Just make a safe margin, like the Premiere program window. Add a battery shape and a red dot, you can make it blink with opacity keyframes.

  The other thing you often see are TV interlace lines.

  Here’s a plugin you can use for Photoshop. Just create the interlacing alone to the resolution of your footage, then bring it in Premiere and adjust transparency.
