I’m using Premiere CS4 to transcribe. I know it’s not that good. Interestingly, I put the final mixed track (no music) into Premiere, and part of it came out perfectly, while the rest was 85% hilarious garbage nonsense words. I used the slower/more accurate option.

The part that came out well was recorded in a studio. The rest of the stuff was of variable quality, recorded on an old miniDV camera. But even the parts with good sound were still coming out as mostly nonsense. I’m wondering if there’s anything that happened during the mixing process (splitting the stereo tracks or changing the sample rate, I don’t know) that might be making the transcription worse. Is there anything I can do to optimize my audio track for transcription? THANKS!
