Whirlwind Software?
Has anyone ever heard or ordered from Whirlwind software? They sell OEM versions of everything including Adobe software. You pay them, and they send you a download link to the software. You get an activation thingy and a serial, so it seems legit. I just don’t have the funds to buy the whole shabang with the box, disks, etc.
I went ahead and purchased Premiere CS5 that way, but the damn serial isn’t any good, or at I figured it wasn’t. I had to turn off my firewall first. Anyway, When launching the program, it freezes and won’t open.
I’m wondering just how legit this company is now. I sent them a request for a full refund. If they give me any trouble, I’ll contact Adobe about them.

There is no such thing as OEM versions of Premiere Pro or other Adobe Creative Suite software.
Anyone who says otherwise is scamming you.
Feel free to point such people to me if they would like to rebut that statement.
BTW, we sell the software without the box, discs, et cetera, too. You can download the software when you order, rather than getting a disc sent to you in a box.
I don’t understand how someone can claim that not sending you the disc or box saves much; that is not the expensive part of the software development and sales process.

Well, Are you going after them for selling the software the way they claim? At the very least, I’d like to think they can be shut down.

Contact your credit card company (or PayPal if that’s what you used)immediately and tell them of the fraud.
That should save you your money. Banks don’t like fraudulent software sites either.
