  PPro move video tracks without adjusting horizontal position

  Hi,
  I am working between 2 machines. one is a mac with final cut the other a pc with premiere pro cs5.5. a huge this for us is that we shoot with multiple cameras and use plural eyes to sync the audio. i like to have my video on certain tracks to increase editing speed. in fcp i can move the video from track one to track 7 (or whatever other empty track) by holding shift and it wont move left or right on the timeline (you can see how this is huge for not getting out of sync) in pp pro i can move it and it will use the snap feature with works most of the time but if i shift a 3 hour video with random cuts, snap likes to pick a bunch of snap points.

  is there a simple way to move video up a track without shifting its horizontal position?

  Zoom in on the timeline or make sure the playhead is at the beginning of the first clip that is being moved.

  i figured that was the only way. at least they tell you how many seconds your off so u can confirm its at 00:00:00 in terms of adjustment. but its kind of a pain when you moving a ton of short clips to make sure its correct. ill make a request but thanks for the reply!
