I just set up my Windows system for PP. Using Dell M6600 with i7 2820Q processor, NVIDIA 3000m card and 16 gig of RAM. When I use the browser or the import function all that comes in is the audio portion of the clip. No video at all just an audio icon in the bin. Clips are coming form a Mac formatted drive using MacDrive software which seems to be working fine. What did I miss in my setup? Thanks in advance.

I forgot to mention these are EX-3 files in the .mov format. I play them back with VCL for Windows from the drive.

What kind of clips are you importing? How are you importing them?

As stated above they are .mov files from an EX-3 and I get the same result using the browser or the import function. Just the audio comes into PP. It shows an audio icon only in the project but shows a .mov file.

“I forgot to mention these are EX-3 files in the .mov format”

I suspect these files have been altered (probably by FCP), which is why PPro can’t recognize them. Files produced by the EX-3 are .MP4 files. See if you can get the original files straight from the SXS card.
