I have purchased a Panasonic AF100 and have been recording in 1920 x 1080 with the LPCM audio setting. When I import the footage to PPCS5, via the media browser, My audio comes in as stereo only and not as 5.1 like it should be. I have tried the creating a new sequence by dropping it in the new item icon as well as manually matching the settings when I create a new sequence. In one occasion one of the clips only imported audio in a stereo format and audio only on the left channel.

    My questions are:
    1. Is there a way to make sure I import the audio as 5.1?
    2. Is there a way in PP CS5 to level the audio when it only shows it in the left side of a stereo audio line?

Any help soon will be appreciated it.

Why do you think that the audio should be coming in as Dolby Digital 5.1? LPCM is lossless stereo audio, and while there is a Dolby Digital record option, it is also 2.0 and not 5.1.
