  • Easy way to remove left track from a stereo clip, convert to mono?

Posted by Keith Moreau on September 16, 2011 at 4:10 pm

I have some EX1 tracks that imported into PPro in Stereo. I’m only using one of the tracks. To simplify effects copying and pasting, etc, I want to basically delete the left track and convert the clip to mono but still retain the link between the video and audio in the clips.

Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks much!

Ideally you should set your Preferences for importing audio from default to Mono so split tracks are more controllable. You can Modify the clip (right click on clip) from Stereo to Mono is you havent edited them into the timeline. If you HAVE edited them into the timeline then use the Audio Effect Fill Left or Fill Right to have one of the tracks playback on on outputs.
