  FCP to PP switch warning: Extract shortcut

  Just a shout out to anyone that might be at risk too.
  Somehow in setting my keyboard shortcuts to the FCP settings, Premiere selected ; & ‘ as Extract & Lift vs FCPs goto Next Edit & Previous Edit.
  Was working on the timeline with In & Out points out of view. Wanted to jump to next edit and PP snipped out half a day’s editing from my sequence! Since it was out of view I was unaware of it and dismissed the lack of response to the shortcut key thinking its a glitch in my setup with my shuttle controller. A while later I only discovered a HUGE chunk of my edit gone. Had to re-assemble my edit from consolidating previous version of the sequence from an autosave… Painful.

  Maybe it’s just me, but good to be aware of this little ditch in the switch.
