  Background rendering?

  Hi everyone,

  This maybe a stupid question, but does Premiere Pro CS 5.5 support background rendering of your timeline? I noticed recent versions of Premiere Elements actually have a box marked “background rendering”. But I can’t seem to find any reference if that in Premiere CS 5.5.

  Premiere Elements is a different animal than Premiere Pro. This function does not exist in Premiere Pro. However, with the Mercury Playback Engine, rendering is often unnecessary. If you’d like this feature in Premiere Pro, please make a feature request: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

  But you can export something by sending the sequence to Media encoder, and then return to working.
