  • Any way to arrange clips in a timeline based on “date/time recorded”?

So it just hit my like a fistfull of epiphany, that

“Man it would make multi-cam editing soooo much easier if instead of having to go through all the footage of each camera and layering them in a timeline so they synch up, there was a feature that automatically layered the clips so their start times were all relative the the “date/time the clip was recorded” “.

Isn’t “date/time created” a metadata tag premiere understands? Why can’t we make it do this very simple task.

I mean for example the timeline could stretch 24 hours, OR you could just set it to start at say 3PM, knowing you started filming at 3:10. Then it would grab every clip, and put it on the timeline so its created time, matched that of the time on the timeline.

It would basically re-create the filming experience, digitally.

Is this just too big of a programming headache? Or did I just accidentally give Adobe a huge $$$-making patent idea?
