  Audio tracks – I want only three

  Please help me understand – I’m becoming extremely irritated by an audio track dilemma I have… I remember from previous Premiere-versions how easy it was to handle the sound (typically I used two tracks that I could overlap for sound transitions). Now (in CS 5.5) I can’t move the sound to certain tracks, and forces itself to create NEW tracks… I just want three or four tracks in total that I can use for sound and music and sound fx. All sound is in stereo, same as the sequence settings. What am I doing wrong…?

  Are you sure both source audio and destination tracks are of matching types?

  Hi Alex.

  I feel really stupid, but how do I check that? I have edited videos for many years in Premiere, but this is the first time I’ve run into this problem. The source files are AVCHD-video and the video tracks have never caused me problems in the past. What different types are there…?
