  • Problem with Horizontal Black Bar

I get a thin black horizontal bar line below my program monitor while previewing my video in Premiere Pro CS5.5. This line only appears when I render out my project indicated by the green horizontal line if its red everything is fine there’s no thin black horizontal bar. This only happens when I change the frame size to any of theses settings 1920X817 (2:35:1), 1920X803 (2:39:1), 1920X800 (2:40:1)1280X545, 1280X536 or 1280X533. If the frame size is 1920X1080 or 1280X720 there’s no black bar line everything works well.
My film was shot mostly in 1920X1080 but the slow-mo footage was shot in 1280X720. I also tried scale and position but that didn’t help. Any idea what’s going on?

    Hey Kaj,

I, too, have a similar problem with my rendering. Whenever the bar is red on the top of my timeline, (especially when I am applying time remapping effects to my clips), I need to render them to make them play smoothly. However, when I render my clips (to make the red bar up-top green), 2 horizontal black bars appear on the top and bottom of my program monitor, for no reason. I am not changing any settings at all, and in fact– i’m creating the sequence to match the clips in my bin perfectly!

I don’t know what’s happening, and it’s very annoying. If anyone has a solution, or if you found a fix to your problem, let me know.

    Thanks!

    Chase
