Wondering if there is a way to type in a number and move the playhead forward or back a set number of frames.

Same with the rolling edit tool & other functions – seems like I have to manually drag to move the clip – in FCP I can just type a number & it extends by that many frames.

    Thx

with nothing selected you can type “+” (some number) enter

on the timeline you can’t numeric trim as clip edges aren’t selectable objects like they are in FCP.

you can trim number trim in the trim window.

there is also an extend edit function on the timeline as well….

Right, but you can pop open the Trim Monitor and use the shortcut keys to nudge a ripple or roll edit. Want to be able to select and trim the edit with keyboard shortcuts? Make a feature request: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

Hi. I’m want to ask a question, but not sure if I’m posting in the right place.
I apparently can not move my Time Indicator with the traditional arrows side to side. i want to move my time indicator frame by frame….not using the mouse. What am I doing wrong?

When I press “Enter” it automatically takes me back to the beginning and plays. I just want to move over exactly 30 seconds and I type in “+30.00” but it still doesn’t do anything.
