I am trying to use the speech analysis function in Adobe Premiere 5.5 and am having problems. We are using HVX cameras which are brought in with 4 mono tracks and I press the analyze button on those tracks and it launches media encoder, but does not add anything to the queue. Any ideas?

Hmmm…In it’s present form you can’t select the track to analyze which is one of its shortcomings. So with stereo tracks, anyway, both tracks are reduced to mono… It may be that it doesn’t work with more than stereo tracks, the thought being that the content could be so disparate that it wouldn’t make sense. Maybe Todd can say a definitive word on that.

I expect at some point in the future the track(s) will be selectable.

The results of your analysis should be in Premiere Pro’s Metadata panel. Have you looked there?
