    Hey all,

I switch from external speakers to internal speakers easily within Final Cut Pro.

But in Premiere (CS5), going to Preferences>Audio Hardware> Default Device> .. and changing the Blackmagic Audio to System Default (ergo, the headphones) the Software crashes. Repeatedly.

Anyone else having this issue? All I want to do is to switch from headphones to external speakers — but Blackmagic in Premiere is only playing through the external speakers. Perhaps there is another way?

    set-up:

Mac 2x3Ghs Dual Core Xeon, 12 GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.6.8
Blackmagic Design Declink HD extreme card. ATI Radeon 1900,
Premiere CS 5, Final Cut Pro 6.0.6

Have you found a solution to this yet? I’m in a similar situation with the difference being that my software doesn’t crash. I’m a FInal Cut/Blackmagic user who is currently evaluating Premiere and I too am used to just switching my output devices at will, but in Premiere I can’t get audio through my headphones when working in a Blackmagic sequence. Is there something other than setting the Default Device to Built-in Output and mapping the output to the headphones that I need to be doing?
