OK, this might be mega-obvious to everyone else here, but I just thought of it today so I thought I’d share anyway:

When I do a two-camera shoot, I usually have one camera as a mostly still one, and the other as a moving-all-over-the-place one.
The real-time multicam edit in Premiere Pro is lovely, but I find I have to keep stopping to move edit points because the camera I’ve switched to unexpectedly lurches over to another shot. I need some warning so I can switch to the other camera before this happens.
Well, I thought of this today:

    1. Create a text item saying “MOTION WARNING” or something similar.
    2. Play through the relevant sequence at high speed, pasting in the text item on video 2 whenever the camera moves.
    3. Select all those text items and shift them left so they appear just before the motion happens.
    4. Now when you edit the multicam sequence, you’ll see an advance text warning and you’ll be able to switch cameras in real time and avoid jump cuts.
    5. And when you need to export, go back to the relevant sequence and disable Video 2.

I hope that’s useful to someone.
