Clip Notes in CS5.5
Posted by Jim Collins on June 7, 2011 at 8:55 pmJust upgraded to Windows Production Suite CS5.5. Had the occasion to want to use Clip Notes (PDF file) to send a short clip to someone. Couldn’t find it in Export menu. Is it hidden or did it go away? If it went away I’d like it back Adobe.
Thanks!

It’s all in the cloud…
You can set it up via Premiere, or check it out here.
I prefer sites like ProVDN myself.

December 1, 2011 at 8:05 pmRats. No cloud for me thanks to US Patriot Act. Not to mention that I have collaborators in remote locations with slow internet connections. 🙁
Pretty annoying that Adobe would take away a solution that works just fine in favour of an online paid service that isn’t accessible to everyone. -

Clip Notes didn’t work just fine.
It relied on a feature in Acrobat that was removed quite a long time ago. There’s nothing that the After Effects or Premiere Pro teams could do to put that feature back into Acrobat.

December 1, 2011 at 8:14 pmFair enough. I guess I should have said “worked”. And I’m not so naive as to expect Adobe’s left hand to know what the right hand is doing or think legal restrictions of people operating outside of the USA.

February 28, 2012 at 9:01 pmWell that lasted real long …
“What important changes are happening to CS Review?
CS Review will be discontinued on April 12, 2012. For information on how to remove or transfer stored content, refer to help. Please note: Stored content will no longer be available after April 12, 2012.”
So does this mean perhaps Clip Notes will be making a triumphant return? I just wished it could work with FoxIt. I don’t install Acrobat’s bloatware on any of my systems. But my clients do … 🙂
So if not Clip Notes, will there be anything replacing CS Review?
Thanks,
Tim
