Adjusting image in Program Monitor
Hi,
I’m suffering here. I’m trying to edit a video in Premiere Pro CS4 and I have an issue. I edited in the past and this never happened before. I have my source video which looks ok, it looks fine, but when I just preview my video in the Program Monitor (at the right), it opens really big, currently I have it on “Fit”, but it still like in a zoom mode.
Pls help! How can I adjust it in order to see it like in my source view.

First thought is to ask what frame size is your source footage and what frame size is your timeline. It looks like your source could be 1920×1080 but your timeline is 1280×720.

Yep, that is my sourge footage.. but meanwhile you kindly answered my post, I was looking that my video was really choppy at my playback.. read a lot about that issue, and found out that CS4 is not an option for editing HD videos or DSLR footage, I have a Canon 60D and I can’t edit because of this issue in Premiere Cs4. Right now I uninstall CS4 and I’ll look fwd for CS5 or AvidStudio 🙁

In case it means anything, you CAN edit HD video on CS4. And you CAN edit HDSLR footage on CS4, but you have to convert the 60D footage to a different codec.
Up until a month ago, I was editing HDSLR footage on CS3. I would convert the footage to Avid DNxHD codec (which is free) using Mpeg Streamclip (which is also free by the way) and then edit away.
So you can get CS5 if you want but it is possible with your setup, without spending more money to edit footage from the 60D.
