I recently purchased an HD camera that uses the AVCHD codec. When bringing clips into Premiere, I am getting 3 repeated frames at the beginning of each consecutive clip. The clips are part of a longer shot, but because of the 4gig limit is broken up into smaller clips on the SDHC card.

I start by copying the entire file structure of the SDHC card and placing this on my editing computer’s hard drive. I have imported clips the standard way and tried the media browser. The first clip in a series of clip is always fine, it’s only the subsequent clips. It is always a 3 frame repeat at the start of the clip (and 2 frames appear to be missing in both audio and video. I have been able to “stitch” the clips together without seeing the problem with 3rd party softward (tsmuxer), however, that would be a bit cumbersome to have to do that for all clips.

Here’s my question: Does anyone know if Premiere 4 is capable of remedying this problem? And if so, how?
