Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 incorrect audio idenficiation
There are a few avi clips I want to import in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, but when I import them, instead of 48000hz 16-bit stereo, they are identified as 11025hz 16-bit mono, thus degrading the audio quality. Can you please help me with this, like fix the registry or change some properties in Adobe Premiere CS5?
BTW, my computer is an Intel i7-920 system with 12GB ram, a 1GB ATI graphics card, and a Blu-ray burner

Are you sure they’re 48k files 16 bit audio? Premiere Pro just links to existing files…
If you want to post one, I’m happy to download it and examine it both in and out of Premiere Pro.

Most of the files that get downgraded are files that have audio encoded in the Lame format. Looks like I should convert them all to make them work.

Best is to convert to wave.
