    Dear All,

I have been working with Premiere Pro CS3 and am having a dreadful time in exporting the file to get it looking the way it should.

    The project settings are:

All the video clips used in the project are MPEG (1440×1080; (1:333)) and digitized avi’s from Hi-8 (720×480; (0.9))and the latter ones used in the video are original (or smaller) in size.

I have spent over 2 days now exporting the file with every possible setting through Media Encoder or Exporting it as a movie. The closest I get to the original file is when I export it through Media Encoder with the following settings:
    Format: H.264
    Frame: 720×480
    Frame Rate: 29.97
    Field Order: None (progressive)
    Pixel Aspect: Standard 4:3

I have attached frame grabs of what it looks like when editing (before) and then after (see links below).

I have spent loads of time trying to figure this out on my own by experimenting with different settings AND on-line reading. Needless to say, I’m at a complete loss.

If anyone has any idea of what’s going on, I truly would appreciate the advice.

    after exporting to MPG-4:

    All my best,
    Fiona
