    Hello all,

Just installed Premiere Pro CS5 trail for 64-bit support and I’m liking so far but I am stuck on if I should upgrade yet ! because !

I can’t get my Boris Red4/Blue to work, been using CS3-4 with no issues I would just copy the .DLL to the plug-in’s folder, and the same thing happens with the new Edius 6.0

So should I even be worried about going with 64-bit editing at this time, is it really going to speed things up? whats the real advantage?
I dont really don’t much in the background while I’m editing so that wont be a big selling point for me.

Been running Win7 64 and XP64 along with PP CS3-4 and Edius 4-5, my system is pretty new, i7-920 with 6G RAM .

    Thanks folks !

Boris RED 4 doesn’t support 64bit editing software. But luckily enough, Boris released just a few days ago RED 5 which works perfect with 64bits premiere CS5.

For Blue, an upgrade has not yet been announced.

CS5 64bt editing is the best. Faster, Smoother, safer with less to zero crashes, but you have to use it alongside 3 & 4 to get the best.

Funny just after posting this I went to Boris and Red5 was there !!

Still not sure if its worth the money to go 64-Bit editing at this point until I find out if its really worth it !

    Thanks
