  CS5 export – export problem

  My specs are:

  Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5″ Internal Hard Drive

  MSI OC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 Video Card

  AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

  OCZ Fatal1ty Edition 4GB DDR2 SDRAM

  Premiere has always rendered and exported slowly for me (more than I would expect for my computer), so I recently tried to find improvements. I updated my GPU drivers, upgraded to Win7, and cleaned up my HDD. However, now things are worse: exports/renders take MUCH LONGER. My thought is that the GPU driver update caused this, but I can’t remember which driver I had previously.

  Some people suggest that Premiere doesn’t work right with ATI drivers after a certain point, but when I tried rolling back to really early drivers, Premiere wouldn’t even open.

  I know there are issues with ATI drivers and Premiere, but even so, this seems ridiculous.

  How can I help make renders/exports run quicker?
