CS5 DV Capturing
We just installed CS5 and are having serious problems getting it to recognize our Sony M25AU. After wrestling with it for most of the day yesterday, I got it to capture HDV fine but when I switch settings over and try capture to DV, it all goes out the window. I can’t even get Premiere to control the deck anymore. Any ideas?

Hi Wes,
Hopefully you have some knowledge with Windows settings – go into Control Panel and find the 1394 controller and try switching it to the “Legacy Driver”, that helps a lot of users. Try a web search for “1394 legacy driver for windows 7” if you need more explicit instructions

If everyone would like hear something very weird, I figured it out. I remembered that DV had stopped capturing after I’d taken my headphones out during the middle of the capture. So, being at my wit’s end, I plugged them back in, figuring why not. And now it’s working fine.
That’s the strangest thing that’s happened to me all week, that’s for sure.
