Glow plugin in Premiere CS5
Back when I migrated from PP1.5 to CS3, I found that a huge bulk of After Effects plugins now worked in PP CS3s new architecture. The most prominantly used one being the “Glow” plugin (known as ABDE Glo2). All I had to do was drag the plugin from the after effects plugin folder to the premiere folder. It’s been such a handy plugin, I’ve used it on literally HUNDREDS of projects. Mostly just for throwing nice outlines around logos, or creating glows around video boxes for TV commercials.
Well, I just installed CS5 on one of my edit bays today, and again went through the process of dragging my AE plugins over to the Premiere folder. Except this time, Premiere doesn’t recognize Glow, Fractal Noise, Partical Playground, and a host of other AE effects that worked fine in Premiere CS3. Needless to say, I’m screwed.
I even tried copying the OLD version of Glow.aex from CS3 into CS5 (since the CS5 version was newer), with no success. For some reason, CS5 just isn’t opening the same plugins that were once compatible with CS3.
Anyone have ANY ideas? I HAVE to make this work!
