I’m trying to send the footage I’m working with from Adobie Premiere to After Effects but when I do, the effects I put on my footage (Ultra Key) don’t transfer to After Effects. What am I doing wrong?

What steps, exactly, are you taking?

In general, it also helps if you give more information about your computer system, such as operating system, exact versions of applications that you’re using (including whether you’ve installed the recent updates), and source footage type(s).

    Sorry-

I’m using a mac 2 x 2.8 GHz Quad-Core. I’m new to Premiere and I know you’re suppose to be able to easily move footage from after effects to premiere and vice versa. I noticed that green screening in premiere is better than in after effects when you use Ultra Key but I still need to do the majority of my project in After Effects. I have updated everything but when I link my footage into AFter Effects, the effects I made to green screen in premiere aren’t there. Also, I tried repeatedly to export the footage as an alpha channel so I could put it into AFter Effects that way but I’m having trouble. Any suggestions?

Again, I ask you to tell us exactly, step by step, what you’re doing. What are you clicking, what commands are you choosing, et cetera, and in what order?

    Alrighty
For exporting the videos so that it’s transparent,
I’m exporting as a quicktime movie. Under the video tab I used the PNG video Codec. I tried animation and none as well but neither worked for me. Not sure if this one will work either. I’m using 32 bit. When I import it into AF the quality seems to be worse than the original and it is not an alpha channel.

    > I’m trying to send the footage I’m working with from Adobie Premiere to After Effects but when I do…

This is the part that I need explicit details about.
