I am working in Premiere CS4 recently. I am a long time Media composer editor. I am having an issue with the .flv files I am exporting. Here is my workflow. Record screen captures via CamStudio at 960×540. Convert the avi file to flash. Import the flash into Premiere into a HD 720p project 960×720. Edit with effects. I am zooming into the left or right corner of the screen to focus on certain areas. In the record monitor it looks fine. I then export to a smaller flash file 580×326. When I play back the .flv file it only shows me the small center cut of the frame and is static. How do I get my export to include the effect moves I have put on the sequence?

Also, is there a better workflow with frame sizes? If I do create a HD project the resolution seems higher which makes sense as SD projects look fuzzy. CamStudio 960×540 is a smaller frame size when imported into a Premiere sequence created at 960×540. Is this because of square pixels versus rectangular pixels?

    Any help would be appreciated.

For starters, don’t change to Flash before editing in Premiere: edit the AVI footage you captured. And check your project settings: if you capture square pixels, edit with square pixels.

I can change it to flash through the swf producer. My end output is flash and if I do not it will take hours to export the smaller flash file if I use the AVI file in Premiere. The swf is editable in Premiere.

Any other ideas? I will check the square/ rectangular pixels. Is that a project setting? Why does premiere disregard my DVE moves on export and
    just export a center cut?
